These are the open positions that are in existence when someone makes an exit from the company. This can be for any reason - whether the person is promoted, transfered to another role, or fired from the company.

Forecasting for such roles allows the company to bring on a consultant beforehand to minimize the disruption.

The following fun-facts are also suggested to be reviewed in order to forecast the open positions.

➔ If an employee has been working for 2 years or more in the same position, it is a likelihood that the employee will be promoted.

➔ Watch out if an employee seems to be interested in other roles. This behavior shows a potential request/demand for a job shift in the future.

➔ If an employee is showing poor performance, may be a sign that the employee will exit the company sooner or later.
